GP02A head

The last couple of days, I've been working on a sketch of GP02's head. Total work time about 30 minutes I guess. I got the sketch looking the way I want and I'm planning to paint it in Photoshop in a more realistic style rather than the animation style of my last two drawings. The catch is that the hand eye coordination issue is too much of a handicap on my current Wacom tablet. So I'm thinking I'll have to wait until I get the new tablet before I can tackle this drawing.

Agguguy

Fixed the minor issues with the Agguguy sketch and traced and colored it in Photoshop this morning. Not sure how I feel about the decals. Some of them I like, some of them I don't. I may go back and tweak those later.

Back to Back

Felt like drawing a Zaku today. Wanted to use a simple, cartoony style, almost kinda like the old 0079 animation. Originally planned to do a group of three Zakus back to back, but it ended up being a Zaku and a Gouf lol.

Here's the original inked drawing and two re-draws/colorings in Photoshop.

Agguguy Head

Played around with Agguguy in Photoshop a little bit today. Colored the head and enlarged it and set it down a little bit lower on the shoulders. The line work and coloring isn't great since I was just rushing through this for funsies. I'm saving up for a Wacom Cintiq tablet. Once I get that, digital illustration will feel SO much more intuitive. A least more so than on my Intuos 3 which is what I've got now.

Agguguy

Don't know why, but I've always liked this goofy looking mobile suit. Sketched it out this afternoon. There's a couple of proportion and perspective tweaks it needs,  but I can do that when I ink it in Photoshop.

Tallgeese II sketch

Starting on a drawing of Tallgeese II. Using the famous "Tallgeese II pose" but from a nice 3/4 bird's eye view angle. Once I'm finished with the line art, I'll ink it, scan it, and color it in Photoshop.

Starting a new blog

After almost nine months of inactivity in the Gunpla community, I find myself drawn back in once again (no pun intended). Although I won't be modeling anymore, I've always been and always will be an artist. This blog will be a place for me to post Gundam and other anime-related artwork.
